J. A. REYNOLDS, DDS
Dr.
Reynolds is a native of the area and has been in private practice
in Williamson County for 26 plus years. During his training at the
University of Tennessee, from which he graduated in 1981, Dr. Reynolds’ exemplary
scholarship was recognized by the Certificate of Honor and inclusion
in the Dean Honorary Society.
To realize his goal of providing his patients
the best that dentistry has to offer, Dr. Reynolds averages annually
over 130 hours of continuing
education – though minimum licensure requirements are only
15 hours per year. Part of this advanced training is done through The Pankey Institute,
the country’s premier center for post-graduate
dental education, where he is also a lead faculty member of the esthetics
and digital photography courses.
Dr. Reynolds’ expertise as a restorative
and cosmetic dentist is certified by the American
Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD),
of which he is an Accredited member. The attainment of AACD Accreditation
requires completion of a rigorous program and clinical evaluation
by the Academy’s Accreditation Committee. He now serves on
the Accreditation Examiner Team and is a member of the American Board of Cosmetic Dentistry. He speaks and teaches both locally
and nationally about Comprehensive Cosmetic Dentistry and Digital
Photography.
Dr. Reynolds is past-president of the Tennessee Academy of Cosmetic
Dentistry, and affiliate of the AACD and currently serves on its
board of directors. The TNACD provides local and regional programs
for dentists who wish to improve their skills in the area of Cosmetic
Dentistry. In addition, assistance is given to those on the journey
to achieve Accreditation status with the American Academy of Cosmetic
Dentistry. There are currently only six AACD accredited dentists
in Tennessee. Dr. Reynolds is married to Kathy Baker of Columbia
and they have 3 children, Maegan, John and Baker.
